Ellen Page has been nominated for a Golden Globe for best actress for her role in the acclaimed comedy Juno. She has been nominated along with Amy Adams (Enchanted), Nikki Blonsky (Hairspray), Helena Bonham Carter (Sweeney Todd) and Marion Cotillard (La Vie En Rose). Juno was also nominated for best picture and writer Diablo Cody was nominated for best screenplay. The Golden Globes will be handed out on January 13.

“Ellen’s very humble and claims that everything about the character was there in the script, but she really made the character her own.” “I would never have thought of putting Juno in an argyle sweater vest, but now I think it’s awesome. I love the walk that she invented for Juno. All the mannerisms – the stammering, the waving arms, the frantic energy – they all came from Ellen. Those weren’t on the page. She embodies Juno so seamlessly that I think a lot of people are going to think she’s like that in real life.”
