Ellen Page has some more awards to add to her collection as she won the best actress honors for her roll in Juno at the Film Independent Spirit Awards. “Juno” also won for best feature film Diablo Cody for screenplay.

On the 27th Annual Oscar edition of “The Barbara Walters Special,” airing Sunday on ABC, Walters asks Ellen Page if she thinks she should win the Oscar for Best Actress:

Halifax native Ellen Page has been nominated for best performance by an actress in a leading role for Juno. Page goes up against Cate Blanchett (Elizabeth: The Golden Age), Julie Christie (Away from Her), Laura Linney (The Savages) and Golden Globe winner Marion Cotillard for her portrayal of French singer Edith Piaf in La Vie en Rose.

Juno has also been nominated for best motion picture of the year, achievement in directing for Jason Reitman and screenwriter Diablo Cody for original screenplay.

Page Six of the New York Post is reporting that “sources say Britney’s pregnant kid sister is gaga over the soundtrack of Juno.”

“She loves it and it’s helping her through her difficult time,” said the paper’s unnamed source.

She reportedly saw the flick the day before she revealed her secret to the planet with her mom Lynne.

Halifax actress Ellen Page has been nominated for a Rising Star Award from the British Academy of Film for her role as the pregnant teen in Juno. The awards will be presented in February.
