Not in Alaska but a pre-screening of the movie. As all the reviews of Juno have mentioned, its mixture of wittiness and originality makes it a great movie that you should definitely check out. Ellen Page’s performance was superb as always and I definitely can see her getting nominated for the Oscars. The supporting cast was just as good. If you’ve seen it, what did you think?

Ellen Page was named Breakthrough Actor of the year at the annual Gotham Awards in New York City for her role in Juno as a pregnant teenager who decides to have the baby and give it up for adoption. Congratulations to Ellen Page!

Ellen Page has been nominated for an Independent Spirit Award for Best Actress for her work in Juno. Along with Page’s nomination, the film was also nominated for the Best Feature category, Jason Reitman is up for Best Director and writer Diablo Cody is up for Best First Screenplay.

According to New York Magazine, Ellen Page can very well be the next Johnny Depp.
The movie could very well make her a star, not just the next Molly Ringwald but the next Johnny Depp: a transgressive teen idol whose weirdo-hero crossover appeal might evolve into real staying power.
