Although she started acting at the age of 10 when she acted in the TV series Pit Pony, yet she came into the limelight with her role of the cynical and witty pregnant teenager Juno, in the movie Juno. With the brilliant performance in the movie Juno, Ellen Page not only caught the attention of the audiences and movie critics but she also received the nominations in the Best Actress category of the Golden Globe Awards and the Academy Awards.
Ellen page symbolizes the young Hollywood. A modest actress, she was not much known until her performance in Hard Candy. It was a brilliant performance for a young girl who knew very little about the movie industry and its working. Her performance brought her rave reviews and many fans for many years to come. As per her fans, she is the ideal face of a young Hollywood as a talented and young actress. Her fans appreciate her getting into the entertainment industry because of her incredible talent and not because of being glamorous and rich.
First Acting Role
Ellen page had an inclination for acting right from an early age and this is evident from the fact that she started training at the Neptune Theatre School early on. At the age of 10, she worked in the made-for-television movie Pit Pony. She also received the Gemini nomination for Best Performance in Children’s or Youth Program or Series for the same performance. In her teenage years she played competitive football in Halifax at the right wing/midfield position. More recently in the year 2007, she visited Serbia and Romania on a backpack trip with one of her friend. This had been her long time fascination and wanted to visit these parts of the world.

I would liike to have Ellen write a celebrity letter to a group of 2nd graders who need encouragement with reading. We host a reading camp each summer and one of our books this year is about bees. I thought Ms. Page would be a wonderful encouragement to these children to continue to find the love of reading. Please contact me if she is interested.

I first saw her in Inception and liked her (as well as the movie), I loved her in Juno. Also, she was the only reason I watched the first half of Whip It (before I turned it off for it was boring and pointless), and the only reason I made it through the first 20 mins of Super (creepy). And that’s saying something.
And then I watched Hard Candy. Sorry, no more Ellen Page fan here. I can’t think of anything good to say about the movie. A cheap, manipulative, easily predictable and poorly done movie which tries to make a fast buck by exploiting a sensitive topic. And, worst of all, conveys (willingly or not) an utterly despicable message: sometimes it’s OK to take justice into your own hands, torture is OK in some cases, and not everyone deserves a fair trial. That’s what a lot of people got from it. It doesn’t even matter if it was done on purpose or not, the filmmakers should have known better. One may say “it’s just the role, not the actor”, but I think actors define themselves by the roles they choose to play, and, even more important, by the roles they turn down.
I Love you!
I like your eyes in the <>.
