Halifax actress Ellen Page has been nominated for a Rising Star Award from the British Academy of Film for her role as the pregnant teen in Juno. The awards will be presented in February.

According to The Envelope, it very well can be. Given its breakout box-office success, “Juno” is now a heavyweight contender for an Oscar best-pic nomination and star Ellen Page may be emerging as the best-actress frontrunner.
